I had a fancy to do some stitching, so delved into my scrapbag and ended up with these two little 'pochettes'. I dont always find a use for the things I stitch - (just like stitching!) - but I do use these inside my straw (shoulder) bags, so stuff - like my money/cards, camera or other important bits (like make-up!) - aren't loose and open. The problem is I have a box full of little stitched fabric bags and pincushions - (along with a box full of knitted scarves!)
Well, you have to do what you have to do!

Sounds to me like you have a whole stash of instant gifties, Shirley! Is this hand or machine embroidered? They are real cute.
Hi Judy - they are a mixture of both. The top pic. is handstitched but the lower pic is mainly machined with a bit of hand stitching for decoration. I keep meaning to sort through 'the box' and maybe sell some of the bags on Etsy - but I'm afraid it's still on my 'to do' list! Grannying takes up a lot of time!
PS: oops sorry - I used the machine on the top bag too! I machined strips in 'log cabin', but the decorative stitching is by hand.
These are lovely Shirley. You are an industrious soul. I bet you get itchy fingers when you can't be sewing...ha ha. Love the images in the post before, particularly the lady with the flower headband and the coloured pencils. I love colored pencils.
