Jewellery

The 'Tutti Frutti' Necklace & Bracelet were made for Glora Swanson
Having read, this morning, about Wallis Simpson (The Duchess of Windsor) - a collection of her jewellery is coming up for sale at Sothebys - (expected to make over £4 million!) - I did a reccie on the internet, and found these lovely pieces - not all of them belonged to the Duchess but they were mostly made by Cartier or Van Cleef & Arpels.

Wow, they are fabulous Shirley. I don't think I could ever wear the necklaces but I can certainly appreciate the crafting of them. I like the cat on the blue stone best I think. The Duke and Duchess of Windsor always fascinate me. I bet they never thought they would be ostrasized by the royals for the rest of their lives. I think the Queen Mum was all fluffy on the outside but made of steel inside.

Hi Cathy - I think you are absolutely right about the Queen Mum. I'm sure The Family are still miffed!
