I love Shakespeare, but it's not something I usually post about. However, the first in the latest BBC 2 series, is so superb that I had to drop a line about it. Richard II is not a play I am particularly familiar with, (and although I know the historic content may be biased), it was the most wonderful production. There are many extremely well known actors giving superb performances and actually making the speech/verse understandable - Ben Whishaw, David Suchet, Rory Kinnear, James Purefoy, Lindsay Duncan ..... I cant wait to see the continuing series.
