Leaf Printing

just some simple leaf prints - using acrylics.
Paint leaves on one side, either place paper on top or place leaves downside onto paper
and rub firmly - back of a spoon is good.
Print is always better on dampened paper.

Use up spare/leftover paint on 'secondhand'/used paper - e.g. can be used for collage

Tapestry Crochet

Carol Ventura
Irene Lundgaard

This seems to be a lovely technique - Tapestry Crochet - and fairly simple if you can do single crochets. (Though you can use other stitches).  Making it 'flat' is a little trickier as you have to crochet from right to left, and then left to right - in order to stay on the 'right side'.  However, if you crochet in the round - this is much easier as you are always working on the 'right side'.   Click here for a video link, with a very good tutorial
The work can also be felted if made in pure wool.

Chine Colle

To make a good chine colle - (pronounced sheen collay) - print you would need to use a Press, as the very thin paper you adhese as 'added colour/pattern' will then look integrated into the print -

however, you can make false chine colle prints using a Gelli Plate by applying the additions, (which would be on very thin paper), before printing over, or afterwards - as collage.

Using calligraphic rice paper is excellent - (tissue paper can also be used, but make sure it is the correct quality).  Using a printer, find a design/colour/shape that you like, and print onto the rice paper, cut out your shape and adhese this on to your print.

I have used Nori Paste adhesive, which is excellent.
. . . apologies - as I don't know who the artists are that have made these lovely prints - unfortunately they aren't mine :(
